Conjunctivitis and other Seasonal Infections

Conjunctivitis is the swelling of the outermost covering of the eye. It is most frequently a self-limiting infection, but can sometimes cause vision-reducing complications if not treated adequately

  • It may present in one eye or both eyes with
  • Redness
  • Foreign body sensation
  • Watering or whitish discharge from eyes
  • Eye Pain and puffy eyes

If you have any such symptoms it is best to consult the eye doctor so that he can rule out any other serious eye problems and start treatment.

If you have been diagnosed to have conjunctivitis, maintain the following measures so that it does not spread to your family members or work place colleagues

  • avoid going to work or school or college to prevent spread
  • Wear protective glasses and avoid touching eyes
  • Don’t share pillows, bed sheet, towels, eye drops with family members
  • Use frequent had washing or hand sanitizer to keep hands clean.
